Until this day I only knew Signe Svendsen from her duets with Søren Poppe and from her back-up for Niels Hausgaard.
But on 8. September 2010 I happened to watch her perform Ny Passenger live in the studio at Go' Morgen Danmark at TV2.
I was really taken by surprise by the high standard of the song, and not least by the intensity of the very tight playing backing band conducted by talented guitarist Lars Skjærbæk!
I immediately bought the album and having listened heavily to it I'm not afried to make the statement, that I concider it to be one of the best Danish albums released this year.
In Viften Signe performed very releaxed in spite of the fact that this was at the very start of the promotional tour, talking between songs and being in good connection with the audience.
It was obvious that the guitar-Master, Lars Skjærbæk, took a lot of the credit for the excellent backing, consisting of half of Boat Man Love.
No wonder that Lars Skjærbæk recieved The Ken Gudman Prize three weeks later at an event in Amager Bio (photos of this event coming soon at thsi site).
